That is exactly what I’m saying.įrankly, Leo’s route, both in his main and ever after story, left me with the unenviable situation of siding with the nameless Bureaucrats who are always skulking around, selfish and demanding.

Honestly, it’s been so long that I don’t really remember how the Royal End went for that, because it doesn’t seem like the final outcome was any different.

A lot of the time, if the guy is a vampire, then I tend to go Moonbeam, just so that she can stay with him-this seems like a pretty big decision, and yet it was entirely glossed over in the epilogue, where they were all “well, it’s been five years since all that stuff happened, and plus I became a vampire.”įinished the Classic End for Leo’s Ever After story. I think I’m satisfied with not having read any of the other extra bits thus far.Īnyway, Cecil was a fun route-I can never figure out whether the better route is the Sunlight or Moonbeam choice. I tend to think that MC is pretty weak-willed to be told that he’s going to make her fall in love with him and then immediately fall in love with him, but that’s this MC.įinally finished Cecil! It’s a miracle! As an experiment, I tried raising enough tapjoy to read a premium section-it was a nice read, but really not long enough to merit the amount of money or time required for it.

Jonah was a character I actually found pretty entertaining and much more personable than a lot of the other guys who are sort of generically forgettably nice. In a startling miracle like Lake Placid, I actually managed to finish up Jonah in time for Luka’s route opening. How many times in different routes have the Red soldiers taken matters into their own hands and attacked/kidnapped MC despite being told not to? They’re not going to accept everyone with open arms after generations of aristocratic privilege. Years of the Red army being allowed to consider the Black army a bunch of animals good for servitude or death probably isn’t going to go away just because the guy who’s been lying to them for like, a decade, now says otherwise, particularly when it sounds like all the Red Kings in the past fostered the same ideas. We’re supposed to believe that it’s all justified because Lancelot has been lying to everyone to fool Amon and at the end when everything is revealed, everyone goes back to being friends. The Black army is trying to live their life in freedom, the way they want, and the Red army wants to subjugate/kill them.

The thing where both sides are equal is a farce to me, as well. “Why didn’t you put him out on the curb with the other garbage?” Those guys that you fix up are going to go out there and kill the other side, and if you’re not fixing THEM up, you are an accessory to the crime. I call BS on this-if you are healing one side’s guys and not the other, then guess what? You are working for that side. The part of the route that also nags at me, which is not Kyle’s fault, is the incessant harping that both Red and Black sides are completely equal, and because MC is just helping Kyle heal people, she’s not taking side.

The other issue is how wonderful he is, going out into town all the time to dispense free health care.except he appears to go to the wealthiest possible neighborhoods to do this, which is like praising someone for philanthropy because they go out and provide free medicine to the clientele in the parking lot of Nobu in Malibu. This makes it really unforgivably inappropriate that he spends virtually every night and morning drunk off his ass-what’s going to happen when some kid needs emergency surgery in the middle of the night? I feel like letting them die is probably going to leave him with a bigger crisis of conscience than treating enemy forces. He’s supposed to be the best doctor in Cradle, which makes sense, as there is apparently NO OTHER doctor in Cradle. Finished off Kyle, who didn’t impress me at all, and I kind of expected this, as medical stories don’t do anything for me as a rule, since I work in healthcare which renders it hopelessly unromantic.
